A unique, first of it’s kind valve in the world, that delivers venting, vacuum protection, over-pressure protection and over fill protection for tankers or static silos.

The Mercer PV valve offers protection against normal volume changes during transportation and routine operation. It provides pressure and vacuum protection of tanks and vessels in potential failure situations and in addition offers protection from overfilling should an already full tank continue to be overfilled. The valve also offers a solution to the problem of on road leakage caused by product surge because of the incorporation of a dwell time in the pressure relief.

The PV valve design has been further enhanced by the design and development of a patented filter kit to EU6 level that can be retrofitted to existing valves. This allows for the protection of transported food products, avoiding the possibility of the ingress of contaminated airflow especially whilst in transit.

All Mercer PV valves are able to be fitted with an internal CIP system. For those installations where the CIP pipe header is inside the tank, cleaning is available through the addition of a directional cleaning jet positioned immediately under the valve. External pipe work is easily connected to the valve via a teflon tube.
